Finally the Nirbhaya’s culprits are convicted & sentenced to death….Judgement might have ended with these lines, but, is it over?... A chapter might have closed, but is it really closed? Are we sure that our daughters and sisters are safe now? Can this judgement end all the evils against the women? Can our women move freely in the society? Can parents have sound sleep when their daughter is away from home? Can we guarantee a child that his mother will reach home safely? The answer is a Big NO... Because hanging these rapist may kill these bastards, but real need is to kill the orthodox thinking of our society. We worship Durga, the Goddess of Shakti but we do kill our daughters in the womb itself. We worship Laxmi, the Goddess of Money, but same money is used to exploit a needy woman. We worship Saraswati, the Goddess of Wisdom & Knowledge, but we cannot educate our boys to respect a woman. It is said that God cannot be present everywhere so He created Woman, but I feel that he must be also ashamed of how we treated His Wonderful creation I agree society or its thinking cannot be changed in a day, but at least we can change our future generations & make a better tomorrow for our daughters, so why not begin from ourselves…..
