By: Robert Haynes Vasupreme83@gmail Grand Bassa County dist#3 Representative Gabriel Smith says Liberia’s former Senate protem Gbehzonhgar Milton Findley was never a bad man as people may think, but he was misplaced in government by the people Grand Bassa County. The former senate protemp Findley was elected as an independent candidate in 2005, and got elected as protemp of the Liberian senate in 2012; but was defeated by the opposition Liberty party candidate Jonathan Kaipay in the just ended nationwide senatorial held on December 20, 2014. Representative Smith speaking in the county at the weekend said the former Bassa senator is a very good entrepreneur, a businessman who works best in such area as politics seen not to be his area, but time and condition placed him in politics. The Bassa lawmaker said in the great wisdom of the Bassa people looking at Findley qualities and capability they have told the outgoing preotem that he can help the county in other areas and so he was retired from politics as he (Rep. Smith) is willing to work with his former colleague so as to keep the spirit of development in the county. Rep. Smith who himself was defeated he in the just ended December 20, 2014 senatorial election further mentioned that following the result of the election he immediately phoned the winner Jonathan Kaipay congratulating him for his preferment as senator, and did the same to Gbehzongar Milton Findley for accepting the result, because according to the people of Bassa spoke through the votes.
