Finished a Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake tonight, it will go out to some taste testers tomorrow. I love to experiment with new ideas, such as this one. I think the taste on this cake will be nice, but it didnt completely come out like I wanted, why I do test cakes :). I am also at the mercy of not being able to get fresh/good strawberries this time of year. I will be offering this cake with a few changes to this one that I made today. The bottom layer you have a strawberry shortcake, covered in whipped frosting, then sliced strawberries. The middle layer is strawberry cheesecake, again covered with whipped frosting and strawberries, then you final layer is strawberry shortcake, then the entire cake covered in whipped frosting. I wanted to then decorate with fresh strawberries, but wasnt happy with what I found at the store.
