Finished my first season in Top Drift, Formula Drift Pro-Am!!! There is no amount of words that can express about how I feel about the season that I just went through... I started the season, small, alone, and as I progressed, gained more and more confidence in my and my Z33. Being in a competition environment for 8 hours, to me, is worth more than 24 hours at a random skidpad. I met so many friends along the way, and became comfortable and welcomed the challenged, and I cherished being at the bottom, and watching fellow drivers rise the ranks. The experience itself is priceless, and I regret absolutely nothing. There is definitely plenty of room for improvement, and welcome the 2015 season with a new slate, and attack it full force. At the end of the day, its all about doing what we love doing best, which is sliding cars and spending money on our machines. I see the competition not as a die-hard dog-eat-dog arena... I see it as a showcase of who can do what the love doing the best. Round 4 has claimed many victims, and I was lucky enough to rise from the smoke in one piece, I drove hard, but Ill be sure to drive even harder. In the end I qualified 20th. and rooted my friends on in the top 16! All-in-all, It has been the most amazing experience, Ive met so much people, and learned so many new things. In the beginning, I did not expect at all in any round to have a qualifying run, 2/4 I put in some points, even with the most wrecked nerves. I never have imagined I would have done this well this season. I improved beyond the expectations of myself, friends, and family. But there is work to be done, and as far as I see it, There is still so much to learn. With this, I welcome Top Drift 2015 because ~Without challenge, there is no fun, and without errors, there is no improvement. PS.
