Firefighter Sky Tower Stair Challenge update... This week training has continued unabated with Eric ramping things up while Mark is toning things down. Eric has now fully recovered from his calf strain and this week did five repeated runs up the Norske Skog TMP Plant stairs, a run up the Matata Hills, an hour long mountain bike and a 2 hour kayak, building strength for pulling up the hand rails he tells us. Marks marathon training has now finished with a 16k run up the closed Herepuru Road this morning. Now its just a couple of little runs during the week then the Marathon Saturday morning. Then, hopefully a quick recovery and a few hill climbs before the challenge. Our fundraising has gone a little quite again at $1,573 so we will be out this week pressing the flesh and banging the bucket to get us on to the start line in only three weeks time.
