First Data is recruiting for a Vice President in Talent Acquisition to join our HR team in our Melville, NY or Atlanta offices. JOB SUMMARY: The Vice President of Talent Acquisition will provide global leadership and strategic direction to recruiting across First Data functional groups. Role includes responsibilities for talent acquisition client management at the executive level, partnership with the HR Management team, system and processes advocacy/consistency, recruitment metrics, and reporting. The position will focus on leveraging the Center of Expertise (COE) to enhance the recruitment model for global visibility, efficiency, timeliness and quality of hires. Reporting to the Global Head of Talent Acquisition interfacing with Human Resources Business Partners and Regional Delivery, HR Operations Leadership and other Talent Acquisition leadership to align recruitment processes and philosophy with business objectives and client needs. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: -Management of recruitment team and full life cycle recruitment of non-executive positions (Director & below) across the function. -Develops, evaluates, refines and establishes recruiting, interviewing, selection and placement processes to ensure that qualified applicants are hired for the organization. -Leads global recruiting metrics (e.g. positions filled, cost per hire, time to fill, interview to hire ratio, diversity, etc.) for all filled roles presenting Quarterly Business Reviews with business leaders and HR leaders. -Develops recruitment advertising plans and sources of hire including employee referral, job boards, diversity outreach, schools and professional groups. Performs required analytics to continually determine successful sourcing vehicles. -Leads partnership with HR management understanding and leveraging hiring trends, workforce plans and recruiting strategies to ensure staffing function meets the business’ needs. -Maintain integrity of functional global recruiting systems and processes while supporting new tools and efficiency opportunities. -Interfaces with HR Management and unit Business Leaders to support on-boarding process. -Leads employment program initiatives from a recruitment perspective where necessary (internal movement, etc.). -Stays abreast of changes in recruiting field, particularly centralized staffing. -Support employer branding tactics specific to functional group. -Maintenance of department budgets and manages forecast. QUALIFICATIONS: -Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or HR required -15+ years as an HR leader working in Talent Acquisition, HR Generalist or HR specialist in highly dynamic and global environments. -Demonstrated success in managing people and projects to deliver results under tight deadlines. -Experience with workforce planning principles, application and strategies -Experience with vendor management and cost saving initiatives. -Knowledge of employment branding strategies and campaigns. -Knowledge of and experience with the latest Talent Acquisition technology (Kenexa, E-Recruit). -Knowledge of pre-hire selection assessments use, application and legal requirements. -Knowledge of global relocation programs and policies. CRITICAL SKILLS: -Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. -Strong client/customer service focus. -Willing and able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and demonstrate creativity/imagination. -Ability to work independently and in a team environment. -Possess sound business ethics and show consistency between principles, values and behaviors.
