First RGKA North District level rural sports Finale 2014-15 MANGAN, Oct, 13: On October 12th the First North district level rural sports final competition of Mangan block held under visionary scheme christened the ‘Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan(RGKA) 2014-15 which concluded today at Mangan public ground, the objective is not only to organize the competition at one location just to complete the formalities but to popularize true concept and value of sports participation for the large number of physical and material involvement of young generation a positive environment and golden platform to excel their talents in nine events. The closing function was graced by Chairman Sikkim youth development board, Khem Prasad Dahal, DM(N), T.N Kazi, SP(N), R.N Yadav, Deputy director(N/E), Sports & youth affairs, Dr.RB Biswakarma, Councilors of MNP, PK Malu and Zangmoo Bhutia, Joint director, HRDD, Sonam Lepcha, AD’s, sports and youth affairs department and zilla members of different GPU. Today’s final event was football held between, Mangan ‘A’ Vs Mangan ‘B’. In which the Mangan ‘A’ won the match in penalty kick in tie breaker. On final day the Asian games participants presented martial art demonstration and the students of MSSS also presented cultural programme. The first RGKA 2014 of North district level competition will complete on October 20th at Singhik sec school ground. The winner participants were handed over certificates and tokens by chief guest and in his message he directed to keep in touch in sports in which they have been qualified and through proper cooperation and awareness teenage suicidal rates has to be reduced with proper counseling, he also informed that the educated and dropout students interested in games & sports should keep themselves in touch and can explore their talents for wider section and can earn good incentives & respect too.
