First and foremost, no matter where you stand on the Ferguson situation, it is sad that an 18 year old man is being laid to rest today. I pray that God brings his family comfort and healing. I also pray for justice. We don’t know what happened that day so let’s take a deep breath and allow the investigators to do their thing. With that being said, SHAME ON YOU State Rep. Karla May. This according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: State Rep. Karla May, D-St. Louis, said she was among members calling for an immediate indictment of Wilson, which she believes would mollify people frustrated with the shooting investigation. May said that her constituents “want an arrest and a charge. They feel like our plight is being ignored, as usual.” I am a resident of the City of St. Louis and I DEMAND an answer to this question: If Officer Wilson was your Son, Brother, Nephew, Uncle, Father, Cousin or Neighbor, would you want an immediate indictment to “mollify “ (appease) people who are frustrated or would you want due process? PLEASE, we are waiting for an answer. Never mind, I will answer that for you- you would want due process, an investigation, evidence gathering, forensics and witness statements at the very least. By the way, as an elected official, you need to brush up on the judicial system that has been in place for, Oh I don’t know, A LONG FREAKING TIME! We don’t arrest or charge people in this country because citizens “want” it. You may be a really good State Rep. and a very nice person but SHAME ON YOU AND ANY OTHERS WHO ARE CALLING FOR AN IMMEDIATE INDICTMENT! You certainly don’t want justice. Leadership You can Trust. Really? It appears to me you are taking advantage of the Ferguson situation and that is shameful. Here’s what we should all want: Truth, Justice, Peace and a better understanding of those who are different than us!!!
