Having said that, if that’s the only comparison he ever got, he would still be in amazing company. Tin Star lives up to its name. The production has almost a live gritty feel to it. “Demons in The Static” kicks in with some bluesy rock feel to it. The melancholy of a late fall day. Deeper, not as thin, not as grim, thankfully, but reminiscent with strong songwriting. pleasing melodies. great imagery. The album has a decided groove to it. It’s a very easy listen. As I sit here and work on other things, it’s a great and easy companion. Til’s voice is comforting, the way an old friend can call you on the phone and you just sit back and see what his next story is gonna be. You know whatever it is, it won’t be what you were expected.
