First, my freedom is dependant on the sacrifices made by the brave men & women of our dominant armed forces and for that I thank you for your service both current and prior. Second, on a day when thanking our Veterans is trending and everyone is doing it, I want to share a quick story...I went to WaWa this morning to get my coffee, as I got ready to pay the cashier asked me if I OR any of my family members have served...I said yes my father and my grandfather. He said well, thank them from us. I told him I didnt earn their discount as I didnt serve and shouldnt be rewarded for association but he told me it was for all service members and their families. As awkward as I felt I left with my free coffee...Im not really sure why Im sharing this except that it seems we have taken Veterans Day and made it about free stuff and store sales...its not about that, its about men and women fighting putting their lives on the line so we can keep ours. Just remember that, not just today, but tomorrow and a month from now and in March and next August....remember it ALL THE TIME. I think Im done...
