First of all. The families want the mayor to attend, thats that! We didnt lose a loved one so its not our call. The officers attending must remain civil and not tarnish the officers that paid the supreme sacrifice. This is not one of those Irish or Italian funerals where two people get in a fist fight in the parlor after not talking for a decade or more, have some class. There will be plenty of time to address this clown in office. The so-called leaders of the anti-cop marches are calling for a cease until after the funerals of the two fallen officers. I agree. I have an even better idea though. How about showing us that you truly do support the police as you have attested. You have implied that these marches were in response to police brutality only and not a march against police in general. I will forget the chants calling for dead cops if you can muster the same group of people to stand side by side at the funeral procession for support of police and face the results of their chants. Have the courage to look through the limousine window at the heartbroken families faces. Of course this will not happen. The divide has never been so great. The lack of a leader to pull people together and speak of true unity simply does not exist. This is what happens when you manufacture erroneous leadership. Good luck NYC we are gonna need it.
