First of all, thank you everyone for their prayers! Shawn and I - TopicsExpress

First of all, thank you everyone for their prayers! Shawn and I have truly felt them. Im not one to post my entire life on here but I felt like this was the easiest way. Ive been to the doctor a couple if times for a cold but turns out that it is not the case. After a biopsy, we found on the 12th, that it is the dreaded C word. After PET Scans,MRI and CT Scans, we got some good news: It has not spread and by Gods grace we can treat with Radiation and Chemotherapy. I will start 7 weeks of radiation next week and will have chemo at the beginning, middle and end (only 3 treatments). Shawn and I are ready to take this head on and have felt closer to God since we found out so we know He plans for us. We have been extremely blessed over the years and I truly feel that this is Gods way of saying You still need me. And Im perfectly okay with that. I apologize for the cryptic posts the last few days but I had to wrap my head around what was going on and also so Shawn and I could develop a game plan with our Doctors. I will have my treatment at Emory with some of the best oncologists in the country so I know God has us right where we belong :) Continue to pray for us as we beat this thing. Pray specifically that chemo and radiation knock it out, minimal side effects from treatment and peace of mind as we navigate through this craziness one day at a time.
