The commissioner for the conservation department has to sign this recommendation and then you will be able to hunt with suppressors. This is a big step for Alabama. The problem is if you currently do not have the permit to own a suppressor in process then you wont be able to hunt with it this year The time frame to get the permit right now is eight to nine months. Now I will explain the process to obtain a suppressor. First I have to have the suppressor in stock. We assist you with the filling out the form 4. You have to have two fingerprint cards filled out and two 2X2 photos. You have to go see the CELO ( chief law enforcement officer) in the area where you reside and have him approve and sign you form 4. Then you give me a check for $200 made out to the BATFE and we send the form off and wait eight or nine months.
