First off I want to say thank you to everyone who came out to display their talent at the Queen City Awards showcase. Now to business, I wasnt there to watch the show live but Ive watched the video in its entirety four times and still couldnt believe what I saw and heard from half of the artists.When competing you want to put your best foot forward and understand the rules so you dont eliminate yourself. Anyone who know me know that my main focus is to groom artists to get them to understand what it is really like to be in this industry (ex. The Konnected Tour). Trust me its not what you see on TV. The REALITY is that the REALITY SHOWS are scripted to give off a certain look to the viewers. People do not take this market serious and understanding of the music industry and what it takes to make it to the next level is what we are lacking as a entertainment community. Im also in talks with some of Carolinas mainstream artists because its time for them to give back as well. The Queen City Awards show is a platform to show that we can come together to network and showcase out talent from all genres. So when I say its not cursing because its a family show and out of 28 artists 15 of you are cursing that is beyond crazy to me. I hope that those 15 artists really take the next showcase or audition more serious than this one because some of you could have been in the conversation to win.Im not one to keep talking about a problem, but one to find a solution. So in 2015 Im going to focus more on artist development for the artists who truly want to make a living out of music. So with that being said Congratulations to Amanda Pollard and Shea Payne for winning the showcase.
