First, thank all of your for the birthday wishes. Its very touching to be loved and remembered by so many. I got to spend the day with my beautiful daughter and her wonderful friend, Jesse. We went to see Into the Woods which was great. Getting into the theater was a little more complicated. I was kind of excited about getting to ask for my senior discount but the hateful, crotchety, old beast behind the counter very rudely informed that I couldnt get that until I was 62 and it was only for evenings anyway. No Happy Birthday, Mam, but Im sorry to have to tell you that you are not old enough to get a senior discount, which of course would not only have been polite but should have been an ego booster as well. OK... We get inside and go to the unit we were directed to and the movie was well underway. According to the clock we were 20 minutes early so Jesse went to the front and explained to the girl taking tickets. She said we would need to get our tickets refunded and reissued for the correct theater. (There is NO ONE there. Its Tues. afternoon at MOA and very quiet but NO we could not simply be directed to the appropriate theater.) So out we go to Mr. Personality once again. NO apology. I guess I should never be surprised but being raised in OK and TX I expect more from people. God bless the South! The woman at the concessions asked what we were going to see. Jesse told her and the woman responded with a look and said good luck. Of course Jesse had to know what she meant and thought that perhaps the woman didnt like musicals. Her response was, Oh, no, I like musicals but it has to be good music. ...I think we all could agree that the woman has no taste because the music was fun and the script was delightful, costumed gorgeously and amazing sets. Much fun! There was one part, I wont say too much here, just call it the boy battle, where the girls and the women behind us were laughing so hard they were crying. Anyway, see it and enjoy. After the show we went to Crave for sushi and did a little shopping. Was a great day and much fun and as usual I smile when I think of Mr. Personality and Mz. Critic. They really need to learn to have a little fun. Happy on the inside out, right?
