First, thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. Just out of the meeting with Darcys surgeon. He said all went well with the surgery. It took just a little longer than he expected due to more than expected scar tissue from her previous back surgery. He freed up the affected nerve by removing scar tissue and some bone spurs that were impinging on the nerve causing the pain in her leg. He said this should provide her relief from her leg and knee pain. She might not see much relief from back pain. Although, most of her pain lately was leg/knee. Shell be in the recovery room for another hour or so. Then they will put her in a regular hospital room for the night for observation. He wants to see her in two weeks for post-op evaluation.
