First time visit to Napkin Please in the French district. Ordered - TopicsExpress

First time visit to Napkin Please in the French district. Ordered the cheesesteak with Provolone and grilled onions and a can of Coke for myself. Shared cheese fries. The fries were shoestring and the cheese looked and tasted like Cheez Whiz (this is not a complaint). A decent side for a sandwich -- Im a sucker for fried potatoes -- despite its minuscule serving size. Noticed green peppers in my sandwich, which I didnt order, but it didnt bother me. I liked the sandwich because its the closest thing to the cheesesteaks Ive had in Philadelphia. The sandwich is clearly underseasoned, though, but that didnt bother me either. What did bother me was how small the sandwich was. I would need to eat at least two of them to get full. So I ordered Buffalo Wings. Sauce was decent, but, I have three gripes: -the Buffalo Wings were breaded -only drumettes (no wingettes) were served -the emaciated chicken parts were overcooked and tough Thus, I wouldnt order these again. Coke was cold. I was more impressed with their beer menu than anything else (see photos), frankly. Regardless, Ill be going back to Napkin Please instead of Rye Post when Im in the mood for a cheesesteak.
