First tip for this New Year :) In a complete fasting state your blood has approximately 5-6 g of sugar in it. Thats one heaped teaspoon. So if you have any carbs to the value of 5g nett you potentially double your blood sugar and what we are looking for is stable blood sugar and little to no increase in insulin activity. So when looking at what you are about to eat ask yourself is this going to increase my blood sugar or not? :) Keep the carbs low at every eating time.
