No doubt as many of you can attest, its been an incredible rollercoaster ride over the last 18 months for our local communities threatened by this destructive and unnecessary megaproject. The combined strength of the numerous campaigns opposing East West Link has been a genuine willingness to work and collaborate together, despise differences, towards the shared goal of changing the transport focus of not only Melbourne, but across Victoria. It may seem were heading into the home straight with the state election less than a fortnight away, but as history shows, it pays for all of us never to become complacent.
