Flat tummy routine (abs builder) Basics : Sit-ups are the classics. Lying on the back on the floor, knees up, feet down and hands crossed behind your head or on your chest. If necessary have someone hold down your feet or wedge them under something heavy. Now sit up all the way, lifting your lower back off the floor. Keep the back straight. Lower back down and repeat until you feel a fire above your gut, then keep going. We’ve all done it and most of us hate it, but it works. Every other six pack abs workout is a variation of this, no matter how complex it may seem or expensive the gadget. The variations are in the comfort each workout gives you. But the idea is for the abdominal muscles to exercise and thus grow and reduce fat. Actually, that’s not quite correct. Recent studies have surmised that exercising the abs doesn’t really reduce fat. Even working hard on crunching those abs and buying every conceivable gadget and machine is no guarantee to get rid of that keg or muffin-top. You will probably develop killer-abs, but they’ll remain unseen under that spare tire. So the real trick is realizing that dieting is probably the most important aspect of your six pack abs workout and that realizations comes from within. Thus the secret to a perfect six pack abs workout is channeling your mind to do exactly what needs to be done, and that is eating right and burning calories. You also need to maintain a realistic attitude, because calories burn slower than you think. Nobody said it would be easy, except for giving up. The perfect six pack abs workout begins and ends in your mind. Concentrate on what needs to be done. Push yourself to develop a regular workout schedule, and convince yourself to eat the right meals and stick to the personal conviction that you can do it. That is the hardest part, not just because of the pain, but also because results don’t come that easy. The first few weeks will be hard. But keep at it.
