Flex Rich Crew was formed in 1998 when Daymio, then Dougal, Fada Boukie, Shaion and “JJ” decided to combine their singing and deejaying talents to record songs and perform together as a group. The group was always encouraged when persons in the area they based realized they were a talented group of deejays and singers. They took the motivations and encouragements received from their families and friends and decided to take the music to a higher level. Flex Rich Crew then began seeking to perform at various events to share their talent in an already mature music industry. The events they appeared on included: Hurricane Show Down (1998), Westmoreland Curry Festival and Delveland Mango Festival (2009), A Wah Suh (2010), Westmoreland Kite Festival (2012) and many other party or dancehall appearances. The group also entered the JCDC Talent Search Show in 2003 and emerged as Westmoreland Parish Winners, which automatically sealed an entry to perform among other very talented Jamaican singers and deejays at the national level. In 1999, Flex Rich Crew began recording a number of singles, both solo and collaborations. As the years progresses, their music continued to impact reggae and dancehall fans, who got the opportunity to not only hear Flex Rich’s brand of music at parties, but also on radio stations such as Irie FM, Vybz 96.3 FM and Linkz 96 FM. Some of their songs include: “Geet Weh Gal”; I Need a Girl”; “I Don’t Wanna Be a Bouncer”; “Feed the Fowl”; “Never Give Up”; “On Top of the World”. Flex Rich Crew grew more professional over the years and became Flex Rich Records when they decided to set up their own recording studio in 2008. The group now comprises “Daymio” – CEO and Deejay, “Cuban” – Managing Director; “Junior J - Singer”, and “Berry” – Singer and Recording Engineer. Since its inception, Flex Rich Records that possesses the best recording studio in Western Jamaica has been making riddims and recording songs for other artistes, who are not affiliated with the Flex Rich family. With the assistance of a well structured management team, Flex Rich Records will continue writing conscious and entertaining songs; producing and recording their brand of music, as well as that of other artistes; putting out music videos and performing on national and international stages
