The center of the ‘X’ is then shifted toward the front to complete the effect of a “cross front” top, without overlapping or seaming the fabric at the front. The front and back pieces are worked separately from the bottom up. Then they are joined with the yoke, which is worked in the round, ending at the front center of the neck.
