Folks, Last year the MGT711 Class piloted the use of the MIT simulations compared to a roughly equivalent commercially available product and we found that the MIT sims were a good experience and would be evolving in the years ahead. Also at that time the MIT sims were very reliable and free from bugs. This year, it appears that in CleanStart some students have their game taken over and run for them, while FishBanks has issues related to multiple players in the same ocean. So we need to make some decisions: My intent has been to give you multiple ventures from which you could gain some useful insights into the improtance of developing an effective business model concept, or learning by doing. With the problems some are experiencing, I would like to offer some work-arounds, or alternatives that I lerave up to each of you to decide on your individual direction. So, alternative 1 is that I open MITs Platform Wars sim as an alternative to FishBanks; alternative 2 if you have a business/venture in which you are closely involved, use this as the 3rd venture in place of FishBanks; alternative 3 is keep pressing on with FishBanks, but working much more collaboratively with each other. Appreciate your input for alternatives if you wish and everything else remains the same.
