Folks, See the huge Confederate Battle Flag hanging on the front porch of Beauvoir the last home of President Jefferson Davis? This Flag was donated to Beauvoir several years ago and on special events it is displayed in the manner that you see here, The purpose of the Flag being displayed in this manner is so that everyone rather attending the event or passing by on highway 90 will see it, The former director of Beauvoir Bertram Hayes and company did not want this Flag displayed at all but you have to remember that even though he is the Great Great Grandson of the President he is not Southern, He is from Colorado and does not share the same love that we do for the Confederacy, Now for the most recent suggestion is that we place this flag on back of the property back by the Cemetery, I know this might sound appropriate to some but think about it if the Flag is placed back there it will have very limited visability and therefore defeat the purpose of the Large Flag, The good news is that we have a new Director at Beauvoir, A very Southern, Confederate loving man that is doing a great job and loves Beauvoir beyond explanation and he says the Flag will fly where it is, Beauvoir has been turned back over to the people that love it and love the Confederacy as well as the man that was president of the Confederacy. God is still looking out for the Southern people.
