Follow up post: As I previously noted, the article in which Citizens for Objective Public Education sued the Kansas Board of Education for teaching evolution, is over a year old. So I did a little digging and found the court ruling. Its 37 pages long, but it can be summed up in this paragraph from the last page: The Court grants defendants’ motion to dismiss the Kansas State Board of Education and the Kansas State Department of Education based on Eleventh Amendment sovereign immunity. The Court also grants defendants’ motion to dismiss because plaintiffs lack standing to prosecute this action. In sum, the Court dismisses this case in its entirety without prejudice. ncse/files/2014-12-02_Order_on_Motion_to_Dismiss.pdf
