Followers of Jesus Christ are commanded by Him to take care of those in need. This is not optional. This command is not open to interpretation. Follower of Jesus Christ, also known as Christians, must obey His commands or they must stop calling themselves Christians. That is not a request by Jesus Christ to His followers, that is a command. We will all be judged by how we treated those less fortunate than us. The Bible verses are there to instruct, convict, rebuke, correct, and inspire, all believers and followers of Jesus Christ, and to invite non believers to join us by becoming one family, through accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.
