Followers of the Quran are told here that the Torah and the Injeel are the previous word of God. If you dont believe in these previous words the Quran says that you will be punished. [3.3] He has revealed to you the Book with truth, verifying that which is before it, and He revealed the Tavrat and the Injeel aforetime, a guidance for the people, and He sent the Furqan. [3.4] Surely they who disbelieve in the communications of Allah they shall have a severe chastisement; and Allah is Mighty, the Lord of retribution. [3.5] Allah-- surely nothing is hidden from Him in the earth or in the heaven. Muslims and Trinitarians believe what the Old Testament reveals about obedience. Ecclesiastes 12:13 The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. Muslims and Trinitarians believe what the Injeel reveals about Jesus. Jesus as the son is not co-equal to the Father nor is he co-eternal with the Father. Jesus is what he reveals himself to be, a son of God. Matthew 16:15 He (Jesus) asked them, But who do you say I am? Matthew 16:16 Simon Peter answered, You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God! Matthew 16:17 Jesus replied, Simon, son of Jonah, you are blessed! No human revealed this to you, but my Father in heaven revealed it to you.
