Following a procedure to remove cancer from his finger and several - TopicsExpress

Following a procedure to remove cancer from his finger and several weeks of excruciating pain, infection and gangrene, we finally found a doctor to take care of it. Today, we met with a Dr. David Mitten in Rochester who said the end of the finger needed to be amputated and he did just that, right then! We werent expecting that but it is now our hope that Willie will now heal. The initial procedure involved removing the cancerous tissue and then doing a graft. Well the graft failed and nothing more was done with it except to leave exposed bone and tissue. We were fortunate to get into see Dr. Mitten as soon as we did and hopefully this will end Willies pain and suffering. Willie will continue with antibiotics and pain medication. I am asking for prayers for his speedy recovery as this poor man has been through enough.
