Football, eh? I must have aged about ten years at the game. As my wise friend said (via Stephen King?), its the hope that kills you. From the excitement of the first goal to the disbelief and pandemonium when the second went in, the growing sense of dread as a decent Arsenal side worked their way back into the game, all the way through to the realisation the City players had absolutely nothing left to give as the game went into extra-time. A touch gutted as I left Wembley, but how could you not be proud of the team? A name change to make the club more appealing? No chance. It was all there to see on the pitch.
