“For I was hungry and you gave me meat: I was thirsty and you gave me drink: I was a stranger, and you took me in: Naked, and you clothed me, I was sick and in prison and you came to me.” Matthew 25: 35&36 Since we accepted this call into the ministry a little over two years ago. We have traveled all of Harlan county, and other areas as well. One thing we are certain of, there are hurting people out there. God has placed a vision in our hearts of reaching out to those that are in need. We are certain that in this trying time, Jesus would have extended His hand to ALL people. We hope to do the same. We understand each church has its own form of missions ministry in place, and we are so thankful that the people of God in this area are working toward helping those less fortunate. Our goal is to work with you. We aren’t concerned with your denomination or affiliation. We aren’t concerned with your nights of service or mission statement. We aren’t concerned with your beliefs as long as they line up with the word of God, Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Evangelizing has truly been a blessing for us. Church after church has given us a place to minister, prayers, money, time; people have fed us, lifted us up before the Lord, and we are so thankful to God and His people. Throughout this area, jobs have been lost, mines have been closed, and we have been stirred by God to reach out to those that are hurting. We have been blessed. Our plan is to return the favor. Our goal is to partner with every church in the county. We must bind together. We are for each other and for the harvest of souls that is promised in the Word. We have set aside a night of worship so that we can lift up the name of Jesus. The first annual “Returning the Favor” will be held Friday, December 20, @ 6pm, at James A Cawood Elementary School. We desire your support. We are reaching out to every church in Harlan county that we humanly can. We are accepting financial donations with plans to put together and distribute food boxes. The distribution date will be Saturday, December 21. On that date, the boxes will be delivered to the Pastors of donating churches. Each Pastor will then deliver the food to needy families in that area. Boxes will be distributed in Smith, Cranks, Cawood, Cumberland, Evarts, Hwy 119, and Harlan city areas,Extending toward Catrons Creek. That’s a lot of area to cover. We need to make a lot of boxes. We need a lot of support, we need a LOT OF PRAYERS, we need a lot of money. Your box may reach someone across the county, someone down the street, or someone right next door. We have a goal of 250 food boxes. Each food box will cost approximately $12-$15 The box will consist of a meal (example- ham, instant potatoes, canned vegetables, macaroni & cheese, boxed dessert.) Every participating church in Harlan will receive food boxes. This is no small undertaking, but God has birthed this within us, and we are following His lead. We are so thankful to the businesses and people of Harlan county for their continued support. For more information, or to make a private donation, contact Anthony Noe PO BOX 296 Baxter, KY 40806 (606) 273-1590.
