For Jeff Bruce - Meeting Of The Upper West Side Jeff got up knowing what today was... The day David and Jeff go to New York for the Upper West concert. He get up throwing things into his navy blue suitcase; they would be gone for at least a week. He threw on a red fox t-shirt and grabbing his black and grey zig zagged sweatshirt slipping his black and red Nike’s on. Jeff basically run - well trip down the stairs to get something to eat before David showed up. Glancing at the clock Jeff saw it was 9:45 and they didn’t have to be at the airport until 11:05, but the airport was at least an hour away so David should be there at ten. He got a quick bowl of Cinnamon Crunch as he tried to get everything ready and grabbing things he might need. When he finally finished the bowl Jeff tossed it in the kitchen and jumped hearing someone honk outside the house, “ Jeff, lets go! You’re gonna make us late!” Jeff opened the door and felt the cool breeze and ran out locking the door and got into David’s car, “ Did you find out how long the flight is?” David ask as he pulled out of the drive way, “ Uhh yeah,” Jeff pulled a folded piece of paper out of his blue jean pocket and opened it up, “ 4 hours and 30 minutes.” David looked at his friend, “ You’ve got to be kidding me.” Jeff shook his head. When they finally got to the airport they rushed to gate 13 nearly missing their flight. David glared at Jeff, “ What?” He asked as they sat down, “ You know I won’t be able to sit still for four hours.” Jeff sighed looking out the window seeing the baby blue sky with patches of white forming themselves into shapes, “ Then go to sleep.” David sighed and got comfortable closing his eyes trying to make the ride go faster. Four Hours Later: Jeff nudged David, “ David.” David shifted in his sleep, “ Dude!” Jeff shook David awake, “What?” David said sitting up, “ We’re here... Let’s check into the hotel then go for a walk before my legs fall asleep again.” David rolled his eyes as they headed off to the hotel. The hotel room was average sized, the walls a light beige color... The beds were both twin size, and the tv was in a brown cabinet, “ Finally...” Jeff mumbled under his breathe. They started to unpack then went out for a walk through the closest park. The park was huge with a fountain in the center of it, kids ran around pushing, yelling, trying to push each other into the stone beautiful fountain. They walked in silence for about 15 minutes, “ Dude, you hear that?” David asked looking at Jeff, “ Buckle up for my west side story, where do we go from here?” Jeff looks at David and nod, “ Lets go.” The guys ran and found a stage set up and two guys on stage they both had black curly hair and brown eyes; but one was wearing a blue t-shirt and the other black t-shirt. David and Jeff hung around rapping along with the Upper West until the rehearsal ended. The band hopped down and walked over to them. The guys stood up, “ I’m Dougie and that’s JFlink.” The guy in the blue said, “ We saw you two singing along to every word.” David nodded, “ Yeah we kind of listen to you guys a lot.” The band member nodded, “ Can we hear you guys?” JFlink asked. Jeff looked at David, David nodded and started out, “ Damn! Didn’t think you guy knew every word.” Doug said. JFlink whispered something to Doug, “ Hey, why don’t you two join us on stage tonight.” Jeff and David couldn’t help but smile, “ No way! You’re serious?” The guys nodded. Concert: Doug and JFlink started to concert to get everyone all wild up, “ Thank you guys for comin out!” They both yelled clapping their hands together as everyone screamed, “ We have a couple special guests tonight!” JFlink shouted into the microphone as the crowd cheered once more, “ Give it up for Jeff and David!” Jeff and David ran out waving to the crowd, “ It’s good to be here.” David said into a microphone, “ Let’s get this thing started!” Jeff shouted. The crowd went crazy and as the concert ended DOug and JFlink invited the guys to go on tour with them. After a while being on tour David and Jeff got their own record label. -Babyjazzabow
