For PEPPERS Fan Club: PEPPER did not fair so well at his evaluation yesterday at veterinary clinic. He is not healing as well as we had hoped. He needed to be realigned and recasted; this will need to remain in place for the next 3-4 weeks. PEPPER remained cheerful and happy throughout his day at the clinic, except, of course, when he had to be sedated for xrays, scan, and realignment. He was happy to get back to his foster home late last night, and ate a good dinner about 10 pm with pain medication provided. However, at some time during the night, between the hours of 2 & 4 am, PEPPER was able to wiggle, chew, and/or pull his way out of the taping on the new cast. He woke me at the side of the couch, where I was resting close to his big, fluffy bed, and asked to get up next to me. Thats ok, but when I lifted him, something did not seem right...PEPPER kept looking behind him; he had brought me his cast, and wanted me to bring that up into bed with us, too! Its going to be a VERY long day today, with this and work obligations....VERY long day.....
