For Sale: Poppy – Registered Australian Riding Pony Mare Height: 13.2hh Age: 12 years Location: Ballarat I am sadly offering my mare for sale, due to genuine reasons. Mostly because our personality clashes and she is a little too forward moving for my liking. Nothing wrong with that, just loves to go! I have had poppy for roughly 3 years in June, and in that time we have been to several Pony Club rallies and been on the road, and jumped over little things up to around 50cm. She has the potential to go higher! Just don’t have the confidence to do that with her. She is a dream in the arena, yet out in an open paddock, she is a very forward moving horse. She needs to be told who is boss, straight up! She can have little hissy fits, yet once she knows who is boss, gets over it and listens. I just don’t have enough confidence to push her.. Hence why I am selling her. She is a dream for the farrier and to float. A little unsure of the Dentist, nothing dangerous just unsure. Worming, is like any horse. She doesn’t like it, but doesn’t do anything stupid, just wiggles her head around heaps so you can’t get the nozzell in. Defiantly not a marey mare at all! You never know when she is in season. Sad sale. Priced at $3,000, but price in negotiable home is definitely not. Can come with new saddle etc at extra cost.
