For all my friends who have asked how Janel is doing... Here is the latest update from her mom. Its beautiful to see their faith being placed in the Lord and trusting him with her care. Continued prayer is needed. Her mom said this.... Thank you all who are lifting up our precious daughter, sister, friend to all, Janel in prayer. This battle for her health is only going to be won with the help of our Creator. I feel Him asking... Do you really trust me? Do you really believe the things you say you believe about who I AM? For an Update on the current status All the tests have come back negative so far. Today she had a bone marrow biopsy (she did very well with the test and does not seem to have any unusual dicomfort), which should show us many things, that if nothing else what we can rule out. It may not be until Saturday before we have results. The doctors have run, I would dare say at this point well over a hundred tests. Multiple cultures and rare tests are still out. Some take a week or more to know. (so hard to wait) The doctors are administering 4 different anti-biotics, anti-viral and anti-fungal. Plus a host of other things, just hoping that one of them will hit a target. Praise - She seems to have plateaued. Her fevers have stayed below the 101 mark for most of the afternoon and evening. She has not had a severe headache in 2 days now. Prayer Request, 1. that God will reveal what we are battling 2. That her liver levels will normalize (not sure if it is drug induced or a symptom) 3. Clearing of her lungs (went from completely clear to fully invaded in 24 hours) again not sure if her lungs are a source or a symptom 4. that her blood counts would come up. white, red and platelets are all very low 5. that the discomfort would be relieved 6. that her anxiety level will decrease 7. That strength will be returned. (She is very, very weak) and of course my biggest one Complete miraculous Healing The hospital staff at Denton Regional has been AMAZING. God has given us some of the most incredible caring nurses and doctors. Thank you Thank you for going before the Lord on Janels behalf.
