For all my friends who have been praying for Rascal, we got the call a short time ago that we were hoping NOT to get. Rascal passed away this afternoon. It is with tears in my eyes and a very heart that I share this. Rascal came into our lives, unexpectedly, almost 4 years ago. it was at a time when Russ and I had lost my Brother and his Dad, and my friend and boss. It seemed such a dark time. Then this somewhat skinny, bundle of energy that we named Rascal, in keeping with the Rhea tradition of having names that start with R, came bouncing into our lives. He changed things for us. Since we do not have children together he became our boy. I am glad he is not suffering and will not be alive but unable to run and jump and play. I just cannot believe he is gone. He will be missed!
