For all parents AGAINST COMMON CORE MATH, please attend this meeting! Dear Fulton County School Parents, [ URGENT MEETING FOR FC SCHOOL PARENTS - MATH ] Many of you share the concerns of the integrated math instruction in our schools, and have expressed frustration to your teachers, administrators and Fulton County Board of Education. The FCBOE supports a path to Traditional Math for Georgia. Concerned parents are holding a meeting in our community this week to discuss what we can do to communicate to the Georgia State Department of Education that we as parents do not accept the existing MATH, and this is not what we want for our children! The GA State Department of Education is refusing to allow a path for Traditional Math in Georgia. I have asked FCBOE Board member Katie Reeves to meet with concerned parents in our community this coming Thursday, March 27th at 7:00 pm at the Verandah meeting room at White Columns Country Club in Milton. MEETING PLACE: WHITE COLUMNS COUNTRY CLUB (off of Freemanville Road) VERANDAH MEETING ROOM (IN THE BUILDING NEXT TO THE POOL AND TENNIS COURTS ON LEFT AFTER YOU ENTER THE GATES) THURSDAY, MARCH 27TH, 7:00 PM The legislation to return to traditional math was voted down, only the State Board of Education and the Governor have the ability to influence or allow Fulton to return to Traditional Math.
