For all the people who are new to this page im going to post one or two pieces again,hopefully you might get something from them. This is a blog I wrote about a month ago: So whos had enough of all the celebrities & trainers shouting at us through the TVs telling us theyve got the secret to losing weight? I love the ones that tell us we can get the body we love.We have the body we deserve. We know how we should treat it, love it, and respect it but at times we just havent and so when we wake up one morning and look in the mirror we say to ourselves WTF happened!?We become sad, anxious and even depressed. So we have a couple of options here. We can wallow in self pity,tell ourselves its not fair and wish we had the body of somebody weve seen on tv or in some magazine. Or we can put one foot in front of the other and get moving. We can start reviewing what we eat and see where we could make a few healthier changes. We could make a commitment to ourselves to do just a half hour of exercise each day. But why does it seem so hard? Why are there all these brands, programmes, technology, pills, and celebrities out there trying to save us? Is it so hard that we need all their help or are they just lying to us? Take a guess. Yep they are lying to us. Why? Because they want us fat. Its big business. Being overweight, sick, tired, unhealthy, and lazy makes their economy go around like a circus. We need to believe in ourselves again and not them. Sure they can help and perhaps inspire us but they wont save us. Only you can do that.Its time to start taking responsibility for ourselves and our own actions. You can put your faith in some celebrity diet because you like the celebrity endorsing it. Does that celebrity care about you or if you get results. No they dont, they care about making money out of you. We need to get out of the mindset of quick fixes,easy ways out and magic pills. And im not even going to start blaming the junk food brands or the government. We need to stop pointing the finger at other people and look at ourselves. What if i start making myself accountable to me? And if i stuff up its because of myself,not McDonalds for having a drive thru service. Its not Cokes fault for having a fridge in every takeaway and its not the fault of the shop that gives you access to junk foods 24 hours a day. We all know the current trends of sugar and processed foods is wrong. But we can use it as an excuse forever and keep blaming other people or we can start taking responsibility for ourselves.I know its tough. I know it can be hard and yes I know it can be confusing but trust me just take that first step in saying F*** it this is my life and Im going to take ownership of it. You only have one go at it so dont take the chance by leaving it to someone else to take care of. Once you take ownership then you can go about getting the results you want. Alan.
