For all those who have asked me wot r d good, very good n outstanding movies among this years OSCAR nominees, heres wot I felt about each of em: 12 YEARS A SLAVE: A terrific movie indeed. Won d best picture Oscar. But it can b a bit disturbing at times. GRAVITY: Truly, a genuine must watch. Nothing more. AMERICAN HUSTLE: A good one if u r used to those peculiar Hollywood thriller/comedy movies. DALLAS BUYERS CLUB: A must watch, especially for d riveting performances from Matthew McConaughey n Jared Leto. HER: A man in love with his Operating System. Wow. It gets a bit slow somewhere around d middle portions, but a terrific watch indeed. CAPTAIN PHILLIPS: One movie that u shud watch in a theatre for sure. Though it is based on a real life story, d actual Captain Phillips actions against d Somali pirates have been questioned by his colleagues. THE WOLF OF WALL STREET: Loud, funny n a total entertainer, but d only problem is its 3 hour duration. NEBRASKA: Its a sad thing when a sweet film like Nebraska, about d amazing love n commitment of a son towards his father, is ignored in a year of some high profile films. Its in Black & White, with a terrific background score. Dont miss this one. PHILOMENA: A mother is in search of her son, whom she lost 50 years back. An outstanding film that can leave u with a heavy heart. BLUE JASMINE: For all d Woody Allen fans, like me, this one is a delicious treat. Cate Blanchett is jus awesome. Highly relevant and a genuine entertainer. AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY: Welcome to d world of complicated relationships n of course, to d legend called Meryl Streep, with Julia Roberts giving excellent company. A disturbing tale for sure, but a really good one. BEFORE MIDNIGHT: If u have watched d amazing movies, Before Sunset n Before Sunrise, dont miss this one. And if u havent watched those ones, still dont miss this one!
