For all you complainers comparing diseases and asking why isnt there this kind of awareness for cancer (there is your just too used to seeing it everywhere) 30,000 als cases a year. There is no medicine bc the disease doesnt kill enough people to save them. Thats the world we live in- thats why there is awareness- thats why the ice bucket challenge has proven to be successful. How many of you had no idea what ALS was until the ice bucket challenge?? No disease is less important - instead of asking why not my disease- ask what can I do to raise awareness for my disease. If social media can bring to light such a dark killing machine - what else can it bring to light?? After all you all used social media to make a post to complain, use it instead to educate people. Tell us about these diseases. Raise awareness. Because no one likes a complainer.
