For any beginners out there - this might help? Its hard to do, to play a slow sparse blues when you are relying on only your fingers, guitar and amp to get a tone. Pedals are great for those that like them, but the original blues guys never had them, they played clean, which is why I copy them. Its a challenge as you need to have a strong vibrato, string bending and phrasing all in place. Be aware of space and time in your playing. Im still trying to get there; slowly but surely is the mentality you need to achieve this, dont play to impress play to de-stress:) - chill out, close your eyes and take your time, dont think about what to play, FEEL what to play as Otis Grand says.
