For any of my fellow history nerds who like delving into the dusty corners of history for the unfamiliar stories, the movie Monuments Men is pretty good. Not a great movie and I found it a bit disjointed at the beginning (I got a feeling a lot of the story ended up on the editing room floor), but my thanks to George Clooney for bringing this interesting bit of history to film. Think Ill add the book to my every-growing - currently around 75...sigh - Amazon book wish list. It was a bit annoying that a couple of matter-of-fact references were made to the Holocaust when the extent of that carnage was only beginning to come to light at the end of the war. Compare that to the utter disbelief and incomprehension on display in the Band of Brothers episode related to the same topic.
