For anyone who tans @Miracle Tanning in rockford, you might be interested in the attached email correspondence. Im not suggesting you stop going. Im only sharing my unpleasant experience and why I will no longer be a customer. Me: I’m writing to enlighten management of my experience at the Miracle Tan – Rockford location this afternoon. I’ve been a customer for years and have a trip coming up at the end of this month so I’ve been in more often for the last couple of weeks. I tanned yesterday, August 13 and again today, August 14. Today, when I went in, as I was being checked in the staff notified me that there is a note on my profile that when I was in yesterday that after I left there was paper towel, toilet paper and soap or soap dispensers missing. The comment took me off guard. Staff noted that they are aware of the missing items and if items come up missing again that I will not be allowed to tan. I told the staff that I understand and asked if they are notifying everyone who tanned yesterday. I was told that I was the only person that was there at the time that items went missing. When I went into my room to tan staff walked in before me and took the paper towel out of the room. I will start by letting you know that I absolutely did not take any paper products from your business and I am more than offended at being accused of doing so. I would suggest that you review records and video surveillance to see who else was in at that time so you can find the responsible person and note from the video that I had no items on me when I left. If items were missing and every customer was notified I would be more understanding but I feel like I am being singled out and I can guarantee you that I did not take any paper products. I would appreciate a response to this email and I would appreciate and expect the note to be removed from my record. Knowing that the items weren’t taken by myself, you will want to further investigate other possibilities. Them: I am sorry you feel as if we targeted only you. I assure you that is not the case. A note was posted and will remain on all accounts that tanned prior to the incident on that day. Unfortunately this is not the first time we have had this happen and it becomes a costly issue for us. This is also why we no longer provide goggles to customers and why you must now purchase them. We appreciate your business and apologize for any inconvience. If you would like to contact me directly to speak for any reason in the future our store number is 863-8492. I am in the store everyday. Me: Sorry, youve lost my business. I dont need to support a business that has a young lady check me in and treat me as if Im a criminal. Im nearly 40 and stealing paper products is a ridiculous accusation. If I can afford to tan, I can afford paper products. This situation was handled very poorly. Sorry for your misfortune but now it has now cost you more than the dollars youve spent on toiletries. Its cost you my business, possibly whoever I share my story with and your reputation. Regards.
