For family, and friends who know my brother, Dave, Ive spent the past couple days trying to call as many as possible with this news, because many consider notifying people online to be an inferior method. In reality, we would prefer to notify everyone in person, but that simply isnt possible I was sick for the same week myself, so while Dave was in the hospital for about a week, I wasnt able to visit. He had Pneumonia, and they were easing him off the ventilator, and he seemed to be adjusting to that. However, during the night, Monday night, he had a heart attack, and had to be revived, but there was then little to no hope that he might recover, and he passed away Tuesday morning. His wife, Rita, and his daughter, Jennifer, want only a very small, private gathering of immediate family, so those who have been invited will gather for a meal while some of us have time off from work this week.
