For full disclosure, there are a few movies that I have not yet seen that might have made the list. But I feel fairly confident in my choices. The two that are probably most glaring are Pacific Rim and Philomena. #11: American Hustle Without a doubt, this movie has the best cast of any movie this year. Christian Bale and Amy Adams lead an ensemble that includes Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Robert DeNiro among others. While there are many complaints that can be made about this movie, one indisputable fact is that the acting is phenomenal. After The Fighter and Silver Linings Playbook, I had high hopes for David O. Russells offering this year. While the movie was still good enough to make this list, I cant help but feel a bit disappointed. Mostly because I feel the plot was bland and the pacing was off. It was worth seeing once.
