For immediate release: ROYAL BRITISH LEGION INVITES LOCAL COMMUNITY TO DISCUSS THE FUTURE OF THE REDRUTH BRANCH. Royal British Legion clubs and branches are closing all over Cornwall. The Redruth branch is determined to survive,in order to give the ex-service community a voice in the town; however, the future of the branch is uncertain and volunteers are desperately needed. In the run up to this year’s Poppy Appeal, the branch is seeking new members to bolster the committee and assist with fundraising and welfare projects. The branch exists to ensure that service and sacrifice are not forgotten. The community of Redruth is being asked to assist the Legion in standing shoulder to shoulder with all who have served. Membership is open to everyone. Anyone with an interest in the objectives of the Legion who wants to help and support those who have served, and their families, is invited to join. The Royal British Legion welcomes men and women of all ages, whether they have served in the Armed Forces or not.
