For many who don’t join a summer league, their time might be - TopicsExpress

For many who don’t join a summer league, their time might be spent fishing, playing golf, camping with the family, or just plain old relaxing. I myself give the lanes a break just so I can concentrate on something else, re-group and come back with a fresh prospective on my game. Getting back into the swing of things is different for everyone. For some, it may be getting that new ball you saved for over the summer. For others, it could mean going back to an older less aggressive ball to work on your wrist position and release. Still for others, especially those who finished out last winter’s league strong, it might simply mean picking up where you left off and building upon an already strong technique. Whatever category you find yourself in, just remember that August is a good time to start getting back to the lanes at least once a weekend to gear up for the fall. I usually time my return two weeks after NFL training camp begins. So dust off those shoes and visit the lanes this coming weekend. You’ll feel better about the fall leagues if you do.
