For me giving birth to an 8 week premature baby was the scariest - TopicsExpress

For me giving birth to an 8 week premature baby was the scariest thing we could have gone through but then a few short minutes after he was born the doctor confirming that he had Down Syndrome was more than I could handle. From the pictures below you can see that we had a tiny baby that scared me to death but as time has gone on we have found the amazing little man that our lives were designed by god to have. Gavin not only enriches our lives on a daily basis but the love he and his sister have had from the beginning brings me to tears! We were blessed by the North Northwest Down Syndrome Association (NWDSA) when Gavin was born with support and advice and a beautiful welcome baby basket filled with wonderful things for not only Gavin and us as parent but for Taylor. Taylor has asked all summer to host a lemon aid stand and I am finally helping her make it happen! Her reason for wanting to have this stand is to be able to donate the money she earns to the NWDSA so they can help other families that have a baby with Down Syndrome like ours TOMORROW WE WILL BE ACROSS FROM THE VFW HALL AT JOHN PALMERS ON SPIRIT LAKE HIGHWAY RAISING AWARENESS FOR DOWN SYNDROME AND ALSO HELPING A SISTER SUPPORT HER BROTHER. PLEASE COME DONATE OR ENJOY SOME LEMON AID! FROM 10-NOON
