For me, my travels in life and activities at CCV has been that of an unwritten combination Hardy Boys Adventure and Shakespearean novel that has yet to see the light of day. Tiresome and tedious like the efforts of many worker bees. Striving for that moment when everything in the hive has been completed for the Queen. The interesting part about this was that I enrolled three times before actually taking classes with this school. It seemed that the Fates and every Murphy’s Law that could be, was in a poker game to see if my risk was worth the reward. For some after the 2 attempts, most would have given up, but not this Irish, French, and Native born Vermonter. The morbidly interesting part was that every time I had the option to go to school and use my GI Bill, this allowing me to better myself in some way, a close friend or family would seem to passed away, and then on top of it like the cold whirl winds of a New England winter, more and more would just simple die... Talk about stressful situations with trying to focus on graduating. Not only that stress, but from my beloved family as well. Once I graduate this fall, I will be the first in my direct line of family members dating back to my great- great grandparents to receive a college degree… That’s 4 generations back… No pressure said the steam pot… Looking forward to this moment in the near future I will be very sad, only because the great friends and the amazing teachers that I will have to say good bye to, who would be comparable to the greats of Greek mythology. The other side of this coin will most definitely will be the happiest for me while hang my diploma on the wall with giant smile and sense of accomplishment…
