For money and favors, many well-meaning politicians opted to play fools with the leadership than hold their grounds or stood by their own convictions. The peoples welfare thus become a poor second choice. And so when it comes to appointing personalities to choiced government positions, the leader knows and simply chooses the ones with good examples of subordination rather than those with proactive independence. The leader is amused with people who trade freedom for money and usually awards them with monetary favors as long as they can hold their breath and say nothing against him.
