For most all of my life I have had doubts, doubts about the existence and character of God, doubts about the existence and specifics of an afterlife; however in spite of all of these doubts I find the recorded life, works, and teachings of Jesus to be the best answer to the human condition that I have found. While I do not pretend to have all the answers and seldom do i have any good ideas I know this much to be true: Jesus pointed to a better way of living that should at the very least be heavily considered by anyone seeking to find truth. Do I believe God to be real? Yes. Do I think he can fit into any doctrine or theology my mind can construct? Far from it. This is not a call for anyone to change their lives, there are enough people doing that as it is, nor is it an invitation for your prayers or debate, it is simply this: I have found that in a world that seldom makes any sense a man that lived nearly 2000 years ago seems to offer a lot of clarity and hope to a confused and hopeless world.
